Hmm, just checked the stats, it looks most similar to Canada (Pajeets and Indhoyars), but the MENA figures are low compared to Europe.

MENA figures are skewed as historic populations have begun to assimilate.

Like there are over a hundred thousand Lebanese in Sydney alone. I would put the MENA population of Sydney at a cool quarter million to 300,000.

Melbourne is probably another 200k.

Funny thing is that despite the huge South Asian and East Asian populations, Sydney is known as an Arab city and Melbourne as an African one.

Those Christian Arabs that migrated to Latin America, the USA, and Australia are socially quite different from the Muslim Arabs/Turks etc that dominate Europe. I bet lots of people in Australia think of those second/third gen Lebanese as just White Australians?

While a second generation Turk in Germany often/pretty much always makes it clear he/she is a Turk and not a local. Muslims are much harder to integrate in the West.

The Arab population in Australia is seen as four waves.

1. The old Maronites that came in the early 20th Century. Many have basically become White Australians, while some are just Australianised Arabs that still practice cultural norms.

2. The 1970s Lebanese. These were predominantly Muslims and the largest group to arrive. They fled the civil wars. It took these guys a few decades but they’ve managed to integrate fully while maintaining their culture and religion.

3. The post 1990s Arabs. These are more diverse groups. Iraqis, Syrians, Jordanians, Egyptians etc. Somalis and North Sudanese are generally included in this group. These guys have mainly just followed the aforementioned groups blueprint to varying success. Some groups have succeeded and others haven’t.

4. The post-Syrian civil war migrants. Almost exclusively Syrian, most young university students and young families. Jury is still out on these guys.

Out of all the religious Muslim groups, the Lebanese are probably the most integrated. That’s also because they spent the longest time here.

Not anymore, it’s been reclaimed by the Arab community.

Traditionally, it was a derogatory term for “Mediterranean countries”, so Greeks, Eastern Europeans, Levantines and Egyptians.

But now, thanks to cultural icons such as Superwog, it’s not used in a derogatory term anymore. But it’s still a taboo term to use to describe someone.

@Apollo one of my cadaan teachers told me that back in the day, they used to call football “wog ball”.

Apparently cadaans that used to play got bullied, even though Australians were playing before the “wogs” arrived.

Keep collecting the world trash.

Btw haven’t the subcontinent’s refugees from 30 years ago assimilated yet? I mean their children?
Actually they haven’t because they got enclaves like Brampton.

I am on Indigenous land. I don't care what the white man has to say. They are from Europe and I will tell them to go back if they say anything but they never did. I only seek acceptance from the Ali Beysteen, specifically the Mississaugas tribe. I am their permanent guest. They are happy to have me.

Have you disclosed to them that you want in aad ku aad ku aastid?

I know they maybe are annoying, but using phrases such as “taking over” sounds like as if you were preparing yourselves for foxnews interview

I live in Toronto. I've seen more brown people than white people. Outside of Dixon and Rexdale, I barely see my own people. If I move to any other province but Alberta, I'll probably never see another Somali again...

Growing up, I never had an issue with brown people. Never beefed with me. Never did anything to piss me off more than any other race. There are a lot of them, but I have a neutral opinion of them.

A lot of Arabs now live in Toronto now. About 9-10 years ago, a bunch of them just came. The demographics changed in the span of two months. Like brown people, I never had an issue with the Arabs either.

Yes, but your parents were migrants and (like you're doing now) white Canadians could have complained about the unacceptable demographic change they witnessed when your parents and other Somalis came over.

In addition, I'm not Somali anymore. I have been kicked out of the Somali ethnic group. You cannot be Somali if you're not Muslim. I have no Somali background. So you cannot talk about the people before me; it's invalid.

I don't believe a word @AbdiGaalDoon says lol

You expect me to believe you're a conservative christian gay Somali? Conservative Christians in NA are pretty homophobic, so how do you reconcile that?

I was born here. I'm not a migrant.
Really? you were born in Canada?

Just the other day, you were saying you grew up on one meal a day in Africa.

I never said Africa. Find me where I said this. I said I grew up on one or two meals a day growing up poor.

Hes a walking meme.

Chinese are pretty bad but japanese and Filipinos are nice
I didn't meet a lot of Japanese people. Filipinos are very group oriented. I never had issues with the Chinese. Again, these are a people who will be chill with you if you leave em be. I don't really roll deep with the Chinese, so I never had issues with them.
