The US has sat down with the Taliban and they settled on a peace agreement. This is the same Taliban that were demonized through out the years.

Wouldn’t it be appropriate for us to sit down with the rebels. Even the Taliban let go of their demands. People tend to meet half way on a peace negotiations. Their demand is that foreigners get out and that’s a demand we would all agree with. The gov would demand that there should be no harsh draconian religious law forced upon the people. The rebels would want some power, why not give it to them. The time they were on power in Mogadishu clean justice prevailed. Corruption was eradicated. How abt the reporter who recently got killed. He left 24 kids. His problem was that he settled there and he felt a false sense of security.

Mogadishu’s problem is that it is utterly deceiving. You will stroll down the beach, a gorgeous beach. You’ll eat lobsters at the latest restaurant that has been build. You’ll visit the Mogadishu Mall and think “woow it’s like any other mall”. Beneath all that is danger lurking, bomb man plotting, you might not be the target but bomb man is on the move and you end up at the wrong place on the wrong time but the problem is that the whole Mogadishu is the wrong place and all the wrong time.
