I was just scrolling past Facebook when I suddenly noticed this picture and I was like wow this joke produced by that one brother is spreading even back home and not just among anybody. This dude you see here is the son of some big suldaan and he is marrying one of the daughters of the hormuud founder sheik ahmed nur jimcale. Kinda incredible to see how quickly this stuff can spread wallahi. You got the literal richest people in somalia on the trend now.

Now I want to see somebody do something like this with wood carving back home. If they can bring back the traditional wooden carved doors that would be amazing.

Exactly. The collapse of urbanism in the 1600s meant that a lot culutral and artistic traditions that might have developed further instead mostly disappear. But their not entirely gone and revival and the reaching of new heights is possible.

This is good but we need to get it bigger, on a governmental level. Judges back home should wear blue jouke instead of this weird somali flag coat I saw then they were doing the trial of the guy who burned his wife.

Maybe even have the president the black or White Joukes on certain special events or even state visits. Imagine HSM wearing this while giving a speech at the UN lol. Have this be the first thing that pops upon google when people search about somali traditional attire. However all our leaders have been 5'6 mallets with no aura so they'd prob ruin it.

They should make Exclusive footwear for the Jouke, the same way the Japanese Kimono has exclusive shoes for that specific attire similar with the Pakistanis and their Cultural Footwear that goes with their attire.

Exclusive Footwear solely for the Jouke, it would be horrid to see a nigga in a Jouke then wearing Airforces??? I wanted to personally DM the creators of it and recommend it but hopefully they actually show creativity and not just some fucking sandals.

Nowadays we're chronically online. Start a tiktok selling a few and others will eventually follow suit. The other option would be to sell right in Somaliweyne but that is quite hard to do.

If you check this website you see it in different styles, however id like it if the other ones (apart from the black) also had tassels with a bit of gold in there too, although doing it in a different design/style is healthy, can't have everything look the same.

To be fair the kimono footwear is just some wood blocks with string so the best approach is to get the raggedy old dacas of yore and remake it with clean nice materials and actual skill

Some modern sandals can go well with the jouke, coming with a good design will be difficult
