Exactly. They authors lack all manner of credibility yet people seem to be upholding this little figure as though it's gospel.
She's a professional at being playing the role of a Debby Downer. But her strategic use of BIG words appear to be one of her more redeeming qualities.

The 68 IQ figure was used well before this study by (Richard Lynn) on Sub Saharan Africans in general. Richard Lynn also claimed the same figure for Nigeria by citing studies from the 1960s.The reason for tahribing is due to political instability and or limited opportunities, obviously. They don't have a fair shot in their home countries. Flight to the west comes from zero sum game politics plaguing many African leaders and their cronies.

Somalis themselves will continue to use it (as again, it is such a compelling narrative that addresses all areas of dysfunction and can be easily communicated) but will modify it: since it is both personally insulting but too useful to be dismissed entirely, why not weaponize it and claim for themselves the honor of being "above average" whenever they manage to become a home-owner, or get a six-figure salary? As the achievement divide sharpens in the diaspora, the ghetto dwellers and layabout Salafis will become encompassed in the 68 IQ category while those who have the means to repel the label which I previously outlined (money and power) will de-facto lose their status as being Somali. They stand at a crossroads where freeing yourself of the retardation requires you to give up your identity. Not a terribly hard choice to make, as most will opt to become "Muhammed-but-you-can-call-me-Moe's" if they have any chance of doing so.

One only needs to look at the state of our lands and people both in the West and in Somalia to realise that we are 68 IQ or even lower.
Truth is always hard to accept.
Would you like me to be the torchbearer of that message by repeating those promising words to a precious young Somali child full of potential? Or would you rather I impress upon them the importance of work ethic, and customized learning strategies that work not some nebulous 'number' that says nothing about their individual capacity. More like reframing this negative messaging they are receiving about their aptitude, holding higher standards for them and confronting this deleterious mindset that impedes cognitive expansion. It’s not a pride thing. It has more to do with being aware of the negative messaging that’s being promoted. Think about the major consumers of SSpot (youth) and that it appears regularly in Somali-related search entries. Young kids are impressionable with pliable minds and they are ones that are taking this in at a subconscious level. Those back home mostly don’t speak or read in English, so you won’t find them here. By repeating this IQ figure, you aren’t helping kids born and raised in Western nations.

You seem to have a problem with factual scientific studies on IQ and race. IQ exists, race exists. It's equally as stupid to do deny that IQ numbers are all as a result of white supermacy. The Richard Lynn study is pretty accurate, and even if you want to deny it. Look at the state of most black people in the West, they all are unemployed, all are in prison, score the lowest in exams compared to other races in universities and colleges.
You even said it yourself, due to political insability and limited opportunities, and what is the reason for that? Low IQ. Africans are mentally retarded, keep on crying. The continent is plagued with famine, corruption, civil wars and poverty.
You won't be able to find me one developed city or country that is run by Blacks here in the West or in Africa.

Most of the leaders in Somalia are foreign educated and let's assume most bachelors graduates have at least an average IQ or higher, and if they are a PhD mostly likely above average. The people on the ground have less sway over what happens in their nations. Its easy for you to blame them in your little western denizen shipping shaah. And people in the lower rungs of society (which includes most of the population) are easier to control by using emotional appeals, not hard facts. You are persistently propping this study up despite it's questionable credibility which speaks to your naivety. Let me first ask, did you even read the study from beginning to end?
