I’m uk Somali myself so I think I have a right to talk about UK Somalis. The issue here is that he is spreading lies about Somalis/Somalia in hopes that it will help somaliland get its independence ( it won’t it). I wrongfully assumed that he was from the UK like me as this sort of behaviour is very common here. I apologise.

Some people in this forum will try to say you're wrong for this post, but it's so common in the Somali community, I see Somalis at the malls signing up to provide DHS services when they can't speak English. Some of these people don't even consider picking up a trade or going to Uni for a job; they immediately think making a DHS business is their ticket to affluence. You're going to hear a lot more of these stories of Somalis getting busted for fraudulent activities in autism centers, HSS, Home Care, and many more. Someone even asked the attorney general if it was a majority of Somalis applying to the HSS services, and he said no, it's people of East African heritage lol. I remember moving here before the pandemic, and Somalis were talking about how they would get hounded by other Somalis to give their elderly or children with autism to people who would give money under the table and now were hearing that 1 in every 5 autism cares are under investigation and a good chunk that are caught are Somali. But I think this will be a point of learning for Somalis here.
