Puntland has already done the two biggest tasks that were necessary to kick starting Somalia post collapse:

1. Introducing federalism in 1998, thus sabotaging Isaaq secession dreams.
2. Returning a central government back to Mogadishu in De, bringing an end to 16 years of Hawiye chimpout.

The heavy lifting has been done. Puntland gave Somalia the political space to begin rebuilding state institutions. The more time that passes, the more people will appreciate Puntland’s farsightedness.

1. Puntland sabotages Somalia as much as it sabotages Somaliland. Somalia could be two functioning states with natural centres of power around Mogadishu and Hargeisa. Puntland encourages clan based microstates within Somalia and Somaliland and it's the biggest obstacle to progress.

If you really believe in Somalia, renounce your desert and return to Mogadishu but you won't because you see yourselves as the king of the jungle, or as someone here put it, main character syndrome.

2. Puntland was always protecting itself and it's own survival by inaugerating the FGS it set Somalia on a path to no where and hindered the reconcilation process.

If you don't really believe in Somalia then announce your own independence movement which is likely coming sooner or later.
