There are bad people, good people and exceptional people in all countries. It is sad to see these maids treated miserably. In Muslim countries, they need strong labour laws. Sadly, it is left to the individual to treat his workers according to the faith. I lived in Kuwait for few years and have many beautiful fond memories and established good friendships with Kuwaitis. This was 20 years ago when I was only 7 years old. Somalis live in little Mogadishus in Minnesota, Melbourne or Stockholm and suddenly, they meet one white/local person and become experts within the local people and generalise it. Have you ever lived in the Gulf countries, went to school or worked with the locals? Probably Not. There are many good and exceptional people from the Gulf Arab countries. For one, they still exist as one country and prospering.
