The opposition must work on a game plan because demanding to sit next to regional leaders as equal is not practical, we all must compromise to keep the train moving :)

What a great irony, incessant complaints about the President being "kali talis" but they demand the PM make unilateral decisions for them without consulting anyone essentially becoming "kali talis" too but in their favour.

So what exactly is the opposition demanding ? To get a seat at the table along with the Federal government and Federal states essentially becoming equal power brokers with them.

This is unprecedented, it has never happened before in Somalia or anywhere else in the world, it goes against every law, and to allow it is not only lunacy but a recipe for disaster, so why do they insist on this?

It's very simple, the opposition along with federal states like P/land and J/land know that whatever form of election takes place it will be an overwhelming landslide victory for Farmaajo and spell the end of the opposition and federal state incumbents for good.

There is also another factor to consider especially as it regards to natural resources like oil, what's at stake is an enormous amount of $$$ that will flow into the country that hasn't before, so whichever government gets its hand on it will ultimately rule the country for the foreseeable future.

Hence, the opposition along with P/land J/land do not want any elections to take place, all their ludicrous demands are nothing more than smokescreen to delay the inevitable, the leaders of those two states want insurrection which will lead to civil war in Xamar, and the opposition are the tools that will be used to destroy their own city.

The overwhelming majority of the people in Xamar are well aware of this and do not support them nor does the overwhelming majority of the army so do not be fooled by the charlatans in the diaspora.

The one that has the deepest pockets will win the election and so far both Qatar, and it's agent Fahad Yasin are backing Farmaajo with Abdikarim Guleid being their plan B.

Farmaajo does not rule the country, but he plays his cards well unlike HSM that went against Fahad who brought him, the only way you get rid of Fahad and the Qatari foreign influence is to play the long game, just as Erdogan did to remove the Kemalist influence from Turkey layer by layer meticulously.

This is what the war is really about, it's about the future of Somalia, they cannot allow election to take place, because the outcome is known, the deepest pockets will win, MP's will go with the highest bidder not their clan's, crooks don't care about clan's, the only thing they care about is their own personal self-interests, only their blind fanatical clueless supporters care about clan.

Even if the ruling is in our favour, how do you plan to enforce this with a heavily fragmented country filled with buffoons and clueless scums?

The Kikuyu have monopoly on Jubaland, they essentially saved Madoobe and also have deals with Al-shabab in regard to the illegal charcoal trade.

Even if Kenya was to plunge into civil war tomorrow and become toothless, they will unite on this single issue alone and fight you, but with Somali's instead of this issue uniting them, it has become a source of further division and contention.

With all the buuq iyo qeeylo, you have to ask yourself how will farmaajo rule Somalia even if he wins in his fake election, already he has made far too many enemies internally and externally to rule Somalia comfortably.

I doubt Qatar nor Fahad will jeopardize their
Interests in Somalia in having this man farmaajo still around who already has exhausted all Political capital.

I sense that a new face will be elected to serve whatever foreign interests may lie in Somalia.

Empty cans make the most noise, the buuq and qeylo you speak off has always existed, it was much worse under HSM, it's a despicable Somali tradition that happens all across the world even in Masajid committees.

None of the so-called enemies are popular with Somali's, whether it's opposition figures or federal state leaders like Deni or Madoobe, Farmaajo would beat every single one of them in a landslide if the vote was put to the people.

There is no doubt he is head and shoulders above the current crop of politicians we have, barring anything crazy, he will consolidate power, and you will no longer see the type of opposition you see today.

Whether that is good for the country or not is debatable, I personally don't like autocratic leaders which Farmaajo is a part off, but at the same time I am not an idealist either, because you get the leaders you deserve.

Unfortunately due to buffoonery of the majority of Somalis along with their immaturity, the only type of leadership that can effectively govern such xoolo's is a dictator they fear.

Speaker of Parliament Mursal is new President

Opposition want to open up September 17th agreement which is a no-no for IC/UN and rest of states. Looks like they are stuck right now.

i dont care if somalis want a decentralized system but unity is needed in times of foreign aggression. otherwise we will be picked off one by one or be pit against each other.
the british and italians didnt come with genocide all guns blazing like the russians in the caucasus. dissidents joined europeans and worked with them so it became somali vs somali.

O damn its the legendary mudane inquisitive

I gotta say I agree and would back Farmaajo had it not been fot the ethiopian factor. Centralisation is the goal for me, but achieving it off the backs of Ethiopians scares me as to what they'll be compensated with
