It cost $16 million to build
Somali ganacsato They have no ideas except to build hotels and houses this why people could them dhiig miirato this days
Sarovar is an Indian founded/managed chain so this is some type of franchise arrangement and there’s no way of knowing exactly how it was financed. the other company involved is owned by Somalis so at least it’s not an entirely foreign venture as is the case is many other African countries.

Most businessmen are in it to make money
first and foremost. The needs of the people/country is the responsibility of the government, so it’s their job to ensure that the money they make from selling the land, planning permissions, ongoing taxes associated with hotels etc are all reinvested properly into the country. They also have the power to make sure most of the jobs actually go to locals and not foreigners, but since the owners the franchise are Indians we’ll just have to wait and see

The exterior looks nice during night time and kind of plain during the day, the interior is stunning. I'm pretty Impressed. I wish they concentrated in infrastructure such as proper roads and pavement. Is non existant in Hargeisa.

Why do you guys think its the government building this ??

+ Do you realize how embarassing it is for a country to not have any 5 star hotels, where do you think diplomats and presidents from other countries visiting would stay ? Some of you guys need to use your brains wlhi, Somalis need more 5 stars in fact, and this has nothing to do with urban planning or roads no government builds 5 star hotels its businessmen

There are no Somali owned 5 star hotel chains

When an economy grows, major hotel brands like say Novotel naturally come to accommodate investors and visitors. For example, when Guyana discovered they had big oil reserves, the government invited established hotel chains to handle the influx of investors and diplomats that were coming in.

5 star hotels are like 5 star restaurants, they require global certification and recognition, not just luxury furniture and a premium name. It's usually always specific well known chains that dominate the market worldwide
