Abayo, after 1991, USC was still attacking Galkacyo, on a yearly basis, until 2016's peace conference. HSM during his first term, even sent Hawiye soldiers and airlifted his injured to Mogadishu hospitals that were funded by foreign nations.

It isn't though, even if HSM wants to stop IC funding for SL he can't. SL declared independence and has in turn lost control over their federal representatives. In turn they were allowed to establish direct lifeline with the IC and their NGOs. PL opted to have a say in the affairs of Xamar, thus retained control over the appointment of their federal representatives. In turn they lost the chance to establish direct lifeline with IC and NGOs.

So after 20 years of ila marayso, we're back to square 1, a central system. I think we can all agree federalism and 4.5 have failed in a spectacular fashion. The new central system will empower Hawiye to make long overdue changes that's necessary for state building. It was frustrating enough that for every petition no matter small it needed millions of dollars to pass. These foolish greedy MPs vote for their own demise, good riddance.

I think it was better for MJs had they accepted ICU central rule in 2006 instead of HSM in 2024. At least ICU were religious multi clan organization. HSM will definitely turn out to be Hawiye supremacist.

I echo your sentiment. Finally there is a one boss, one head of government in Konfuria that we can negotiate with. No more cock-blocking from MJs and their lackeys.
