Oromos were fighting the expanding Abysinnians in the 14th century, if you read their myths it says there was a monster swallowing the land and enslaving people, I believe this was a reference to Ennarea and the surrounding Habesha Pagan kingdoms, as well as the Sidama kingdoms View attachment 315916
Yes I remember an oromo telling me about some story about "the north" and how the enemy must be defeated so they expanded northwards because of it. Amhara were doing their own little expansion and it would be a matter of time before they came to where oromo lived.

This @mohammdov person is a negro of the highest order. When I met turk nationalists and others who say Arabism/Arab nationalism since the 1900s is the reason they do not like Islam I think they're stupid. But then you see people like him I see their respective.
One thing we Somalis done well was to Somalise our Arab migrants and limit their influence. We would had a load of janjaweeds running around Somalia as they do in Chad and Sudan.๐Ÿ

Facts that's how strong Somali culture is. We already are half the Horn. But afars and eastern oromo are basically somali lite with how much they adopt from us.

The Arab, Indian and others that came to us were taken and assimilated. They speak Af-Somali. Unlike Sudan which saw a bit of Arab migration then buckled.

In the Arabic books, they mentioned Habash and Bantu
Habash become a generic term for slaves from Ethiopia which could have been omotics and nilotics/Cushitic pagans. The actual Habashi kingdoms were actually major slave traders with the Muslim world. Xabashis preferred to keep omotic/Nilotic slaves in Ethiopia and to sell their Cushitic slaves as the former could be Kept more distinct and separate.

Ps. Ethiopian slaves in Somalia were also called Xabash, but they were not necessarily Xabashis ethnically.

Good observation, I suspect that the Habesha slaves were mostly Agaw pagans till recently

Sudan is basically Arabized Nubians why couldnโ€™t Arabs conquer/go further than Chad or into Ethiopia/Eritrea/Somalia/Kenya or the lush fertile green farmlands of central Africa?

Who are these Arabs that had the ability to push into these lands? They didnโ€™t have as big of a hold on Northern Africa as you think

They were going to reach it The Arabs arrived in Eritrea and Sudan, and the Arabs defeated the Amhara and killed their king in the Battle of Galabat 1889
Also, do not forget that the Arabs ruled Coasts of Kenya ุŒTanzania, the Comoros, and Zanzibar

Yapping is crazy. Arabs had no rule.

You're claiming the Albanian ruler of an Ottoman autonomous khedivate as Arab ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Literally after the Beni Hassan defeated the Tuareg and Sanhaja, they imposed taxes on them, then they started speaking Arabic
You are trying in various ways to detract from Arab history ๐Ÿ˜‚

They were one of the Arab tribes that mixed with the local population. Unfortunately when the Arabs arrived in Sudan they took many concubines so they lost some of their features.

Imam Mahdi wrote in one of his publications: Let it be known to you that I am a descendant of the Messenger of Allah may Allah bless him and grant him peace. My father is Hosni on the side of his father and mother, and my mother is likewise on the side of her mother and her father is Abbasi. Knowledge belongs to Allah. Indeed, I have a lineage to Al-Hussein, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

And if you want it in terms of the haplogroup, Sudan is the country with the most j1 haplogroup

J1 in Africa
