The reason for somali failure is isimo, elites, waxgarad, ganacsato, islamist, and any other group with influence tell their politicians bring us solutions and they review and say unworkable rather then sit there for 4 years inay iska dhadhiciyan which means another 4 years of waste. They need real policy advisors ama all day shacabka sawirka laga qaadaya following SHUCI principle waa KACDOON PRINCIPLE LIKE SIYAD ka bacdi isimka la turaya, boqorkaga, ganacsatada, iyo kuwa idin ku muhimsan waxana ku tuurayo shacabkaga oo gaajo ah oo acadow ku arko. Thats why commies are feared alot but Islamist is worse now as it has legitimate religious credibility lakin it's not being used for 'wadaads' who want the power only like the pope oo tanasulay iyo iran, agenda waa dhul boob iyo aduunka la badelo akhirki marki xaluufo calaami la samaysto

The election will be on a level playing field that much is a given and will be handled by an independent elections council. All candidates including the incumbent President must abide by the same rules that are written in the electoral laws. No one is above the laws, which is an important precedent being set in Somalia.

Obviously the incumbent has somewhat of an advantage over other candidates because the people are familiar with him and his party. They are also familiar with his accomplishments and faults. They can take all of this into consideration when choosing who they'd like to win.

If the President wins another term, that's completely fine and does not indicate any foul play. Likewise the same is true if he loses.
lol

so farmaajo is the one who passes the law that will be used for the election, but when it is time, an independent outside party will oversee it all.:ulyin:

Venues, and date etc... are things that should be known to the public well in advance, the fact that itself will be decided near election times says it all about how unprepared this country is for this.

your boy wants to come back no matter what, he's made his intentions clear, and his actions have reinforced this many time.

he couldn't be more obvious if he tried, unless he announces the election to be held on oct 21.

The reason capitalist are feared isn't because they can bribe u iyo lacag ay haystan. The work they do is based on costs and profits and direct or indrect benefits, they look at everything including goods, services, humans as a 'cost' lacag ayaa ku dulsaran 'wax qaawan' malintad lacagtisa hos uu dhaco dharbaxo ayuu kugu dhufanaya, adiguna 'gaal ba oranaysa illa uu shaqada ku soo celiyo kkkk lakin ma soo celin doono because 'runta' ayaa soo baxday inaadan qiimo ku fadhin adigu. Marka they will never be 'corrupt' dhinaca lacagtooda so they are seen as more 'genuine' to have power in the market place and not some 'wadaad ama nin xun siyad barre oo gedo joggo'. In australia we accuse them of racism ganacsatada kkkk. Meel kasto saa weeye. Kan Somali joggo waxaa la dhahaya gaal ba tahay sharafta laga riddaya si uu lacagtisa uu burburo marka ma jeclan siyasada. some caraurtooda ayay ku doodan nagaha foolanayso inu ganacsatada lacag siin kkkkk for 12 months and there is some ppl who say lacag inay qaadato ma aha shaqo kuma laha ganacsatada foolkaga lakin dawladi iyo wadaadki ayaa pressure xoogan saarayo inu ganacsigisa waaynayo. Isaguna waa arka khatarnimada dawladu alot of policies ayaa lacagtisa ku burburi karto lakin lacagti wuu raba sharciga ma rabo because marki hisab la samaynayo naag foolanayso ama qabiil iyo waxasi kuma jirto

This country finally has two important things for horumar implemented by this government NIDAAM SHARCIYEED (Structured Laws) and XASILOONI SIYASADEED (Political Stability) among the Executive branch and legislative branches. This is important to understand because for the past 30 years there has been no law and order and definitely no stability.

This law was NOT unilaterally signed by the President, in fact it was proposed in the lower house of parliament and was passed by the mps and then was sent to the upper house of parliament and was passed by the senators. Only then did the President sign the law into effect, like how a true democracy works.

The designated sites of the election and date will all be handled by the Independent electoral commission not the president or anyone in his administration. These individuals will not be controlled by the administration and will work directly with the international community with setting up any logistical necessities.

The incumbent announcing he's running is not new to Somalia, it happens all across the world. He feels like he's done a good job thus far and has more work that needs to be done. I agree with that assessment, since I like what he's done so far and have confidence that he can take this country to the next level for sure. If you have a different candidate in mind that you'd like to support that is totally your prerogative and has nothing to do with anyone else.

This electoral law is meant to galvanize all Somalis and in particular young people which make up the majority of the population. These young individuals are eager for opportunities and development and will vote for the parties that have proven themselves able to lead the country into this new era.

There is plenty of time from now until the time of the elections for any logistical hurdles to be overcome with the assistance of our international partners. In terms of security, our American partners have already made a historic amount of attacks on insurgent compounds all over the country and troops are stationed in many areas meant to secure the ability of almost all individuals to take part in this election. As you know in every country including advanced western nations, not every single person votes. However a great number of people do vote and this will be the case in Somalia as well.

Somalis will vote directly for parties, with parliamentary seats being allocated according to the final tallies. Members of parliament will then elect the president and prime minister. The prime minister must come from the majority party in parliament. This system is superior to the outdated 4.5 system and will ensure people vote for their interests rather than a few people voting for special interests.

This administration is optimistic in their ability to bring about "one person, one vote" elections and with the support of all the different groups that have helped our country, we will undoubtedly be able to reach this milestone as well. Of course there will be people opposed to this citing many different challenges, but we will not allow those cynical and negative people to hold us back from progressing further. As long as the many individuals that live in this country give a mandate to an administration of their choice they will be more invested in making sure they are active in supporting that governments initiatives.

We are on a democratic path to move our country away from selfish interests and divisive politics based on tribalism. Somalis have witnessed what nonsensical bloodshed and warlordism has brought and that they aren't willing to go back to that dark time in our history. No more will loss of life or loss of property in our nation be allowed. This is a new era and I for one commend the Nabad iyo Nolal team headed by President Farmaajo and Prime Minister Kheyre for their great leadership and united front.
This is a great step foward but to clarify the people wont elect the president but the MPs who elect the president.

We dont have Shia Somalis, your trolling is boring.
There are actually a few thousand Khojas and Al Lawatia in Xamar Weyna, Merca, and Barawa most have gone to Zanzibar but they speak somali and want to return once it gets better. Zulifakers one of the main supermakert owners in somalia before the war and the Muraj family. They have a whole neigbhouhood in xamar weyna and others settled in farming villages in the lower shabeela.

Id heard about that before but never actually seen or heard of one irl. I assumed eventually all became Sunni.

There is one I'd seen online, Ibrahim Sincere.

If they're like him then mashaAllah, as in he seems like a proud Somali and doesn't use his sect to be divisive, from what I remember.

That troll was just being annoying.
