I would love to be a truck driver for a day. Sounds like such a fun job to have. Who wouldn't want to drive a big truck

Trust . I drove my brother 2020 dodge ram 1500 from alberta to the Dot few months ago during the winter i liked it so much that I had to buy an affordable old 2011 RAM lol .one of the things I liked about it was knowing I'd be much safer then small sedans if I had crashed unto elks or deers . 18 wheelers are much higher and bigger then dodge rams I'm sure I'd be comfy in long rides .

simple stats, if you’re driving for weeks on end every month for years and there are millions of truckers in the US, there will be MANY deaths. even if there’s a 0.01% chance of dying from something if you have enough people doing it 24/7 the actual amount skyrockets.

Everytime you go out on a trip you roll a die.
There are idiots on the road but if your driving an 18 wheeler ,not horsing around and not under the influence or fatigued it shouldnt be dangerous . Your literally the biggest vehicle and much safer then small cars in road
many truckers drive well into the night with little amounts of sleep. Also, the problem isn’t crashing into another car, it’s swerving.

Once 18 wheelers start to swerve there’s no going back, your best bet is to find the safest landing. So one mishap is all it takes for you and your 36 ton death trap to fly out the highway.

Still, like you said, if you take the necessary precautions and don’t overwork yourself. The chances of you dying on the job are very small, as small as any other job really. But you don’t run a risk of cutting your body in half if you decide to slack one day on other jobs, which is why mortality rates are higher in these kinds of jobs.

That's tough . Ngl I get i tired with 7 hours straight drives I cant imagine driving all day and night. Do we have any young truckers on this forum ?

It's fun and games until some nacas on the road causes you to crash, and you'll be dead before you can complain. its the easiest way to end your life.

You should only do it temporarily for a couple years, save up and start a business

Trucking is not dangerous.
1. you have to be a good driver
2. Work during the day and have enough sleep.
Indian truck drivers make the most money because they drive during the day.

yup, brampton truck drivers are making fat stacks of cash because they have two people running shifts on a truck. One of them sleeps and the other drives and they switch shifts.

They get things done twice as fast. Trucking isn’t dangerous, if it was not many people would be a trucker. But it is more dangerous, tiring, and takes you away from home longer than other jobs hence the extra pay.

How will they make more money with two people running shifts on a truck? They would have to split the money anyway.

Kkkkk how didn't m miss this

"They have to own the truck, and he [Grundy] helps them in the process of acquiring a truck and to get their license," the spokesperson said.

You got to own a truck apparently :ohlord:..

Western Canada truck owners make almost the same amount with just 8-10 hr drives a day .
