I say forget elections. Let leadership rotate, and under it, some guarantees have to be met.
no party shall be uprooted of its properties.
no nepotism.
revenue is shared based on a system(population, per so many square feet of a land etc...).
no regions are slept on, on development.
no qaylo iyo buuq, when your time is up, you hand over the kursi.
no clan militia, forces will be loyal to the government and it will be diverse.
things like that until our IQ increases and we are able to function like normal people without killing each other.
Even with power rotation you'd still get greedy ppl who want to hang on to power.
Instead why don't the OG & MX create a unity party where all the positions get rotated more fairly according to party bylaws?
OGs are in power now but I don't see them investing in the state because of a fear they might lose everything tomorrow.
Would be the same with MX in power.
A single political party seems to be the only option.
Harti don't have a say in it but at least they would be able to develop Kismayo under a stable political system.
So much food is on table atm but no one is touching it as everyone is eyeing each other.
