Expansive topic so i will make it summarised. Different groups in the taariikh when they disobeyed allaah they were all punished with disasters, and these disasters are different but the wording is always kept in a specific way, I will pull from suuratul qamar because it has the best overview and is just generally a nice sura
Similarly in suuratul xaaqqah
Allaah deliberately uses word choice like these to make 'callbacks' and reference groups maybe without mentioning by name, for example in suuratul israa
This references both Qaaruun of qawmu muusa and qawmu Luut, where qaaruun was swallowed {خسف} side with the land, and qawmu lut had the rain of stones fall upon them {حاصب}
