Always and always keep in mind and consider diplomatic relations. Diplomacy essential in a war. Siad Barre in 1977 did not consider Soviet Intervention and this is why we lost the war. Siad Barre did not either do much on the diplomatic front before waging a full invasion. If he secured US backing, and Saudis or if he didnt even wage war at all and learning the Soviet would intervene reality might have been different today.

Anyways. If you watch the video, that I think you haven't. You would understand that there are requirements for toppling a leader. The leader being kafir is one requirement, but the Syrians did not fulfill the others. So this is why things are as they are. There is no end to this war right now other than accepting Bashar Assad rule. They should be patient.
