As I’ve said before it is wholly unwise and illogical to compare American federalism to Somalias imitation attempt, the country had literally collapsed for a while. Puntland was de facto independent for a while and a de facto independent state will have citizens no?

there is dna difference even within the north depending on where you go. Within families there are dna differences. Dir/isaaq haplogroup T and darod primarily E. this doesnt even make sense

Southerners spoke maxaa tiri the same way the northerners spoke maxaa tiri. We even have variations such as af maay being spoken by raxanwayne people which is even older than maxaa tiri and contains purer somali words.

Yeah, and an oromo and Somali when compared to a Sudani or Eritrean are gonna appear closer, don’t put too much stock into g25 and all these dna analysis tools, they aren’t accurate. A people group separated over hundreds and hundreds of miles are going to differ in language and genetics.

They have oromo groups like the jiddu and darandollo and hadame amongst them as well. As well as other somalis whos clans were defeated and settled amongst them. They are not wholly of Somali stock and their emergence isn’t that long ago or as ancient as people put it. Sab are the artisan class and somalicised groups and samaale are the Somali, these aren’t two brothers lol, it’s a designation.

I think you need to improve your historical knowledge yes they contain people who aren’t ethnically somali however the ones that are somali are very pure. (Vast majority)

its true though maxaa tiri is riddled with arabic loan words af maay doesnt really have.
