Why is no one talking about this ???

In the 2030s many oil producing countries are going to run out of oil

Malaysia has around 2 billion oil reserves that they've been pumping for a while now, they produce nearly 200 million barrels a year but export only about 80 million barrels

Their government said that they'll run out of oil in 2037 but they could be running dry years before that, think of it like when you're sipping a drink with a straw and theres some of it left at the bottom so you have to move the straw to reach it

Petronas is Malaysia's oil company and basically kickstarted their economy for the past 50 years, their economy will take a serious hit when they run out of oil

Fun fact: The landmark of their country is literally the twin Petronas towers

Indonesia has even less barrels left than Malaysia and they also produce around 200 million barrels a year, they export much less tho at about 20 million barrels a year

Egypt had only 3 billion barrels left by 2021, they pump out 200 million barrels a year and export 30 million barrels

This article was written in 2013 btw

With these countries combined thats around 130 million barrels/year vanishing from global markets in the 2030s, if they dont find new significant reserves by then the space could be filled by new producers, only one I heard about is Uganda which has a bit more than 1 billion barrels, they're currently building a pipeline to tanzania to export

All of this is assuming they're not lying about their reserves cause lots of countries do that, including the biggest producer Saudi Arabia

Algeria is the one thats the most in trouble, by 2035 they'll only have 390 million barrels left (if we assume their numbers in 2008 were correct) they export about 170 million barrels a year so thats probably another 100 million+ barrels off the market in the 2030s

2040-2050 will be even worse, and developing countries are having crazy fertility rates Nigeria and India will have 200 million additional people each so even more oil is going to be required

Russia is going to make big bank if they find oil in the northern parts of their countries where ice is melting due to climate change

By 2100s I expect people start dumping their cars for horses at this rate, the world as we know it is going to be very different, air travel is probably going to disappear by then if they dont find a way to make electric jets

I guess this explains the hadith that said we will go back to riding horses until the end of times

Honestly if Somalis play their cards right we will 100% make huge money off of oil 2030-2050

We would still have billions of barrels left after Saudi runs out in the 2050s, oil will be a very prized commodity in the future and probably more expensive, if people thought the 1970s OPEC embargo was bad they're not ready for the future

China is really thinking a century ahead by electrifying everything

Couple the coming Global Oil Crisis with the broader Global Energy Crisis, and Somalia is actually in a secure long-term position , not just because of oil & gas, but because of its uranium deposits that can be converted into clean, efficient nuclear energy.

With energy demand rising worldwide, the value of nuclear only grows. Just look at the numbers , nuclear outperforms almost every other source in terms of reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

And as you’ve pointed out before, it’s also become cheaper to build.

Now imagine the implications: Somalia with both oil & gas reserves and large uranium deposits. That places us not only in a strong diplomatic and geopolitical position, but also in an industrial and strategic one. Few countries will be able to match that kind of dual energy leverage.

Tbh uranium deposits arent that large for exports, just large enough to run nuclear energy at home

But I agree Somalis could be making huge bank from oil in the coming decades, just depends on how fast we lock in

It is large enough where we can export a small portion of it and whilst most of it will be used to run nuclear energy domestically

Another thing is they can also build molten salt reactors , by using the extensive salt deposits in Galmudug and the northern areas.

They also have large lithium deposits beneath the salt flats of Galmudug which will be key for growth.

There is also growing lithium crisis because of the demand is more than the supply so that to will also give Somalia political and strategic leverage if utilized and managed correctly.

Somalia really has it stacked and secured when we think about it , whilst the rest of the world will face resource scarcity and crisis.
