Sub-Saharan Africa and why it is the next big thing

the GDP of sub-Saharan Africa in 2000 was estimated at 400 billion USD. 20 years later it was estimated at 1.7 trillion USD. That is more then 4 times growth in just 20 years.

Sub-Saharan Africa population is growing fast it is estimated by 2050 the population will double and Africa will have almost 3 billion people. it is also said every 2 years Africa increased its population by adding 67 million people, that is like adding France every 2 years

So why is sub Saharan Africa important? it is very simple population increase+ economical growth = a huge middle class.
the middle class of sub saharan africa by 2050 would be over 250 million people. While Europe population will decrease by 44 million in 2050

if the current economical trend continues the economy of sub Saharan Africa by 2050 should be 10 trillion dollars and that is a very conservative number the real number should be close to 20 trillion dollars, that is USA economy of 2020.

The population of Africa doubling and major population decline in Europe, Usa and China will give africans room to breath. Practically most of the worlds population growth will be concentrated in africa this century. This means africa will host most young people -> the innovators and more workers. Rest of the worlds is becoming older especially Europe and China. We might see them decline ( in my opinion they are declining especially mediterranian countries).

While population increase is not the magic trick to becoming a developed country, it will drasticly alter the reality at the ground. African nations need to harness there human capital and industrialise. This is the key.

Also, the HDI of every African country bar Libya has been growing at a high rate, every year. Growth in places like Senegal, Ivory Coast, Zimbabwe, Angola is unlike anywhere in the world. Even the worst run country in the DRC grew by a HDI value of 0.5 in 5 years and is starting to industrialize. Keep in mind, the difference between a Eastern European country and a Western European country is 0.5.

Africa is starting to position itself to rapidly catch up,

Somalia is growing faster then most African countries. even during drought/ conflict and mass exodus of millions of people, the population of somalia more then doubled from 1990. Therefore Somalia is a whole different story an exception within africa and our population will probably triple by 2050 which would be around 48 million mark.

This is why Africa should focus on healthcare and education. We need an Africa in which everyone has access to quality healthcare and a value-integrated education

It will just lead to more Forced labor, slaves, maids, prostitudes and crimimals for rest of the world if African govenrments dont wake up asap

Spoiler alert it will remain the poorest area of the world

what you are not seeing is the middle class that will emerge. 250 million middle class whose purchasing power will be like that of any other country on earth. It will be a huge market.

Its growing faster then other african countries but its mathematically impossible to triple. Likely it will reach 40 mill in 2050.

Big prediction, Kinshasa-Brazzaville is going to look like Tokyo ,NYC, Beijing, etc, by 2060.
It could look much better if they would utilise modern techniques and better planning. The citys location also is great, it could be full of greenery, thanks to being surrounded by rainforest.

This is the thing in africa, we have know better knowledge about building infrastructure and if we implement this, the continent could rise rapidly.
