It seems this women feels unseen, unheard and invisible which is fair considering there’s probably limited expression of south Sudanese/Nilotic type cultures in TikTok but to turn around to horn Africans in the site creating content revolving around their culture and blame them is really strange.
Her reasoning is horn African culture is essentially the same as south Sudanese culture and that she and other south Sudanese are getting harassed for displaying it as their culture which is obviously wrong if someone is harassing people, but if South Africans started acting like Englishmen to display their culture people would harass them too? I wouldn’t expect Somalis to show of the more arabised parts of our culture to TikTok but the more native somali type culture, same way I’d expect her and other south Sudanese to show of their more native culture rather than the more Horner like influence in their culture.
If she still wants to show off her culture with the horner influence included that’s fine too but it’s still gonna be understood that parts of that culture originate from the Horn of Africa and trying to erase that aspect would be what people call cultural appropriation.
In the end of the day she needs to get off TikTok, I swear it rots the brains of people who use the app overtime.

This is precisely why I advocate for removing all aspects of Northern culture from all our Nilotic cultures; Arabic (Juba Arabic) should have been gradually removed and our own linguists should have been employed to restore the integrity of our languages by removing any all Arabic influences.
The South should first create a strong Pan-Nilotic identity upon which a strong Nation should be constructed; and then proceed to invite all Nilotic speakers to return home and participate in a Nation building project for all Nilotic peoples.

What would be a koine language or a lingua franka in south sudan i read that there are many different languages and dialects in the area. If you're adamant about differentiating yourself from the north what about the name of the country are you going to change it too?

We have a total of 64 languages in the Country and I would be in favour of choosing the Luo language of the Chollo (Shilluk) to be our lingua franca; the Luo languages are the oldest Nilotic languages and Dinka-Nuer are just offshoots.
Yes, I would also be in favour of changing the name of the Country; 'The Nile Republic' sounds good to me; and the citizens could just be called Nilotics.

Some of those Southerners grew up in Kosti or Khartoum and were thus culturally influenced by Northern culture and norms; and they seem to have mistaken what Southernes do in the North to be representative of Southern cultures in the South.
We have nothing in common with the North; we don't look toward the Arab world with any sort of regard.

Other than Islam for Southern practioners, all the remnants of Arab culture need to be excised; we need to fully integrate with Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
