Somalis should take the Germans and Japanese as role models

The Germans and Japanese arewell-punctuated and smart. They strive for success in any profession they are in and have a well organised and effective schedule. They know what they are doing and will focus only on the most essential and useful sections. They aren’t that meticulous but try to be as efficient as they can at whatever they are doing. They cooperate with acknowledgement of their peers’ successes and they communicate with one another to learn from each others flaws and solutions to them.

Somalis on the other hand have no sense of self control and hate for one another. They have little care for the final outcome of their work and aren’t effective nor efficient at doing anything. They just shout
Swear, and hate everyone on this planet. Even if there is some contempt for a greater enemy (AKA ethiopia and kenya) we should out smart them and use our collective thinking.

German and Japanese Achievements:

They were building the autobahn by the 1930s, while we were in huts.

The germans fought 4 great powers TWICE, losing the war only due to the resource and manpower of the Soviets and Americans.

Their cooperation, ingenuity, and dignity for their homeland earnt them respect from the french, who called Rommel’s 7th Panzer Division , ‘Ghost division’.

Wack, I’m more of a fan of the US model, United federal states of Somalia, first get the constitution right/democracy and checks and balances inside somalia so everyone’s represented, then begin our manifest destiny of western expansion

The Germans and Japanese had the same issues with tribes and countless of mini kingdoms.


However their winning formula here was that they also had competent neighbors as competitors.

France was it's own united kingdom and so was England a bit later.

They also had the ruins of past great empires to build on (China and the Roman empire).

So intense internal competition and easy access to nearby developments.

We're stuck with Arabs and Ethiopians who haven't developed for a thousand years.

Even with that... They're both still at least a thousand miles away so we couldn't build on each other progress.

But most somalis don’t have an eye above qabil.
Take Japan, a nation that wasn't fully united until the meiji restoration, before that they were ruled by clans that had a weak emperor. They then experienced rapid westernisation and industrialisation.

The reason why I admire japan is because it is a country that has kept its ancient traditions while advancing in technological and economically and also carving out its own empire.

Germany was also the same but had a headstart, they were divided city or provincial states that were eventually pushed by nationalism to join the german empire and work for the greater german good.

Bare in mind, Germany is homogeneous, so is japan and somalia too.

I like to view somalia as the ‘african germany’ of ‘african japan’ though this is very humorous and just a plain farce in some peoples eyes, they should acknowledge the fact that all somalia is suffering from is a weak government and clans, the same thing the Japanese were suffering from.

If we, like the Meiji restoration, unite the whole of somalia into a greater nation that is centralised and based off of nationalism and islam (like the japanese; nationalism and spirituality), then I assure you that somalia will overrun every african nation

That doesn’t work. Democracy failed in somalia. Instead of voting for a political party, they will vote for their tribe, hence, causing corruption and rendering government useless.

Barre didn’t unite somalis. He divided somalia further and sent it back 100 years. I’m not going into that discussion but we must identify what constitutes unification of a people.

1- A people are unified if all parties come to the table with endorsement of the plan

2-If they are bound by a national agenda/plan , in Somalia , Somalinimo and Deen could be used

3-There must be bloodshed if necessary. Just like the ‘fat man thrown, 4lives saved before train’ experiment, blood must be shed and purges arranged to stop any movement or separatists. I don’t mean civilians but paramilitary or militant rebels must be dealt with accordingly

They’re an exception. They have different ethnicities with different languages and religions so fighting can be expected. Same thing goes for congo and nigeria. We , on the other hand, are the same people fighting over nothing

It’s called the butterfly effect. You could trace it even further to the french revolution or even further before the Enlightenment or even as far as a door being open in byzantium.

If the Enlightenment hadn’t happened, the french would have had no motivation to get rid of the monarchy, and hence no napoleon, no napoleon means the HRE isn’t dissolved nor the confederation of the Rhine is assembled , HRE not being dissolved means germany isn’t created, germany not being created means ww1 couldn’t happen, no ww2 in turn, no UN and no african independence, no somalia, no civil war, no diaspora, no internet, not Somalispot, and the possibility of any of us being born is less likely.

No it hasn’t been implemented as we don’t have a proper constitution yet or Checks and balances nor proper federal representation, by the way I’m a youngin kulaha odeyal

Why do we think imitation is a solution? On state building I suggest Somalis carve their own path based on our historical circumstance, culture and the age we live in.
