i love it honestly, most of the arabs in my life were a pain in the ass even i shit talk them to their faces

It's true we did mix with the Arabs. Many of my family members are married to Yemenis and my mothers great grandmother is Yemeni. Today, I heard Yemenis live in Qardho as refugees but they assimilated into society and are now making business. Arabs are more then welcome to stay and work on our land.

Paternally and maternally yes. I know arabs well they dont have the best intentions for us somalis.

As a somali admixed with arab and who grew up around arabs, I am going to put it bluntly. Arabs hate somalis and make banana jokes and call us abeeds. You could think of it like the superiority complex somalis have with madows but with more malice and vitriol.

I know. I’ve heard about the racism in the Arab world.I try not to react to it emotionally and generalize all people though.I deal with people on an individual basis whether they are Somali or not. Some people are rude and ignorant while others are down-to-earth and polite.

I care a lot more about empowering myself and my people, beginning at the grassroots level.
