I don't know. @Figo or @Odkac WRLD might answer this better for you.
They are kinda different.

I’ve been to MN and Ohio, even SD, there communities are a lot closer knit. Somalis in Seattle are spread out, and Seattle is segregation capital of the west coast lol.

We don’t come together as well as the other American communities because of this, so when I say Seattle has more than SD people won’t believe you cause SD malis aren’t spread so thin.

They are mostly good people. A lot of younger kids going into the gang or haram life but I factor it to the environment more than anything else.

People make a lot of money here- the guy who made your McChicken could be getting $16- but this is offset by how fucked we are by the cost of living.

Like @Odkac WRLD said Seattle community isn’t as close other Somali communities in the states. Some are in West Seattle and some south Seattle while a lot more are also spread out to places like Federal Way, Kent, Auburn, TUK, Seatac, Renton, etc I used to live in Ohio and I’d say it has the best community. People there are a lot welcoming and they help each other. For example when TUK/Seatac decided to move Somali businesses not a lot of people came together to voice their opinions that should tell you a lot how divided the community is here.

A lot of gentrification is happening so I wouldn’t be surprised if the communities in West Seattle and south Seattle move to The places I mentioned above.

I’d say in 10 years the south end will be white majority just like Central District is now.
The CD used to be a madow neighborhood but it’s white majority now for the first time in 6 decades. :francis:
