Great point walaal. I want to expand a bit more on the housing developments before i forget againAnd the materials for all of these homes are being manufactured in Somalia as well, in this video at the first few seconds it is said that to build cheaper homes real estate investors now buy concrete from new local factories instead of importing more expensive materials. @Idilinaa posted some of these new factories.
At 0:45, the CEO of a real estate company in SL says the cost of homes has been reduced by 30% by buying locally manufactured materials
It's not just the new cement and concrete factories that are helping drive this boom:

We're also seeing a developing quarrying industry across Somali regions. I actually made a thread focusing on Ogaden as a case study, but what’s happening there reflects a broader trend:

Even back in 2016, there was documentation from Mogadishu showing how the construction sector was employing youth and using locally sourced materials:

Construction Sector Driving Somalia’s Economic Recovery - AMISOM
Mogadishu, April 21, 2016 - A group of young men crush boulders with sledgehammers under the sweltering mid-morning sun in Wadajiir district. Not far
All this shows a clear pattern, there’s a real domestic industrial base forming around construction , from cement factories to quarrying to local manufacturing of concrete ,stone, blocks and tiles. This significantly lowers costs for builders and boosts employment in both rural and urban areas.
So when we talk about modern housing developments and rising middle-class housing in neighborhoods across Somalia, we’re not just looking at import-driven growth , it’s increasingly built on local production, local labor, and local demand.
This kind of grassroots economic activity just doesn’t align with outdated narratives that claim Somalia is surviving remittances or even aid which is nonsense. There's serious internal capacity building going on here.
