These separatists are the most irrelevant entity in Somali politics, they had 30+ years on their hand to gain a foothold in the politics in the south and lobby for their separatists objectives, but they decided to isolate themselfs.
This guy in the interview just confessed that a very weak federal government with internal issues politically outsmarted them. Now imagine in a couple of years when hopefully the FGS gets its shit together? That will surely be the end of Somaliland because they have been proven to be so politically incompetent.

Now I get why Puntland barely take those guys seriously, we just laugh at their emotional outbursts because we got bigger fish to fry in the south.
That’s where the real competition is regarding the future of the somali geeljires.
