Recognition is not happening. All you would have to do to stop recognition in its tracks is show this map to the UN Security Council.

Mate there is no need to draw up fake maps to make yourself feel good.
This is the only map the international community sees and cares about. This was the vote monitoring spread of international observers in Somalilands recent election:russsmug:

Nah Somaliland without Awdal, Sool or Sanaag will be a weak state flanged by Somalia from both sides and lose an important custom point with Djibouti.

Rather stay part of Somalia as a region than break it up. This is not up for negotiations the moment Somaliland forfeits claims over these regions it's viability as a country will diminish.

As stands today we got the lock on Awdal، Togdheer & Sool. Half of Sanaag including the capital. Why would we purposefully let got of our unrivaled leverage over these regions for recognition?

Have all of Sool and Sanaag each in exchange for reuniting with us on a North South two-state federation, you up for that?

That would be true if UN cared about Somalis. They don't (including Isaaq) they'll only deal with the party who has clear government structure and troops on the ground.

Also your map means nothing. Western Sahara is huge but sparsely populated with most cities, economic & political power is with Morocan government. The Kurds despite having large territory are minorities in Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. UN borders have little regard for different ethnicities let alone different tribes.

I'd understand if you're talking about a powerful region like say Catalonia in Spain but Sool & Sanaag aren't on the same league.

Their population combined is less than Woqooyi Galbeed and offer little economic value, they're underdevelop and in the case of Sanaag the population is split 50/50. The importance of these regions lies in it's location and potential prospect in natural resources. Political representation of Sool & Sanaag with 20 seats based on 4.5. Aside from that they're a liability for the most part and can't stand alone as a region state or a country of their own.

This is a silly suggestion. Don't get fooled by Farmajo's union overtures. Somaliland population is barely 25% of that of Somalia why would he entertain a 50\50 deal when Somalia has X4 the population? That wouldn't be fair for south Somalia either and doubt if any of their politicians will offer such concessions for unity. It would rattle the core of Somaliweyn. Imagine if Djibouti joins Somalia and they ask for 50/50 share with Somalia or if this plan was adopted 33% of Somalia's seats to enter a union?

That will never happen. Somaliland should be content with claiming Sool & Sanaag and being the state with the largest number of seats. They have a better shot at presidency than becoming their own state.

@Kanan it doesn't have to necessarily be on a 50/50 basis I understand but a loose federation (quasi confederation) of only two states is what I'd expect is the end result if reunification actually happens. Also I think a northern city would become the capital of the union
