Somaliland President Receives Official Invitation for Visit to Ethiopia big thing coming!!

If there will be any deal, it will be the deal Muqdisho said you can have, no military base and no land ownership. Purely business while respecting Somalias sovereignty.
why would ethiopia accept such a thing , if they cant own or have a military base it makes no sense for them... letts wait when ciiro visits Addis Aabba

Ethiopia would hardly accept such a disadvantageous arrangement. Its ambitions for a sea outlet are driven not merely by economic considerations, but by strategic imperatives ensuring national security, establishing a maritime presence, and diminishing its dependence on Djibouti, which currently profits substantially from Ethiopia’s trade through transit taxes.

Ethiopia is, in essence, thinking in grand strategic terms. It is highly likely that Addis Ababa wishes to revive the Memorandum of Understanding, though only under conditions that serve its own interests. The government appears intent on reinstating the very same agreement it signed with President Biixi; its earlier withdrawal was not a rejection of the idea itself, but a response to unfavourable timing and a desire to gauge international reaction.

The backlash from Western nations was significant many viewed Somalia as a fragile state in need of support and thus rallied behind it. However, with Donald Trump now back in power, it is doubtful that Washington would be particularly concerned if Ethiopia were to secure a maritime outlet through Somaliland. or Somalia what ever u wanne call it

That, indeed, is the substance of the matter. Let us set aside personalities and focus squarely on the underlying geopolitical dynamics, my dear lad.

if u hate the xabashis so much why dont u tell ur leader hassan culusow to get rid of the ethiopian troops from Somalia ,he is the one prostituting him self for ethiopia ur angry at the wrong people angry at me angry at Somaliland angry at Puntland , but its ur leader who allows the xabashis in the country

Then why hasn’t this happened yet? Trump took office in January 2025, and the MoU already collapsed in December 2024 following Turkey-brokered talks. If US approval was the missing piece, we’d have seen movement by now.

The backlash that actually killed the MoU came from Egypt, China, and the Arab League and none of whom have changed their stance. Egypt signed a security agreement with Somalia and sent troops and weapons. China opposed it due to Belt and Road interests in Djibouti. The Arab League called it a “blatant coup” against international law. The OIC and African Union (as expected last place) also sided with Somalia.

The US was one voice among many calling for respect of Somalia’s sovereignty, but it wasn’t the key obstacle. Trump’s position is largely irrelevant short of recognition of somaliland. Ethiopia is not russia warya you don’t need big america for them.

your right china was a main problem accoridng to bixii it was the chinese that were fighting it and threatend abiye , but the USA ALSO stood with Somalia the biden admin. remember the US ambasador said that he opposed it., but dont get it wrong , the chinese opposed it for one reason only because it will embolden Somaliland which will embolden taiwan.. the chinese didnt oppose it because they are against ethiopia do not get it twisted or because they like somalia., ur right the belt is a main thing but the chinese do not invest in one factor only besides ethiopia will not back down because of the chinese. what they need is to stregnthen their position right not ethiopia is from a weak position they are fighting among themselves.in the near future ethiopia will get sea acces unless Somalis become strong, ethiopia will not get a sea from djibouti or get a sea from eritrea, only somalia is weak at the moment,

Hundreds weren't killed in Laascaanod. Don't lie Perhaps ten people were killed in demonstrations after they attacked police stations After the conflict began, there were no civilians killed only soldiers killed
If it was a war against civilians, why didn't they attack villages, burn and kill civilians, as the Somali army did in Somaliland in the 1980s?

There is no aano qabiil and people killing women for qabiil In Somaliland
All tribes surrendered their weapons to the state.

Tumasho aaa The only area where prostitution and alcohol were legal was Italian Somalia and when sSYL Those who were secular and liberals made these things normal. Then came your communist uncle
1964 was the war with Ethiopia and go asked your father who died the most in it and who started the war (dagaalka geeljiraha hawd 1963)

The 1962 coup occurred because of the constitution and the distribution of positions, as Somaliland was fought economically, as the capacity of the port of Berbera was weakened.
Wax soo baro yarow But as you can see, Somalis hate Somaliland, yet they do not want it to become independent, just because of their envy.
‘Prostitution was legal’…what a retard

Somalis are done for good, imagine being a colony in the 21st century to one of the poorest nation on earth, abiy can't dictate to amhara or tigray people but can molest 50million strong somali nation.

Guys lets stop seeing things through clan lenses and see that foriegners doesn't care which clan you are but are only after our land, resources and existence

"Something big is coming" dont you guys get tired of this? Its been 34 years lol

It's when emotional desires accumulate for too long and go unchecked by their leadership at the expense of rationality and reason is when u left with a state that is no longer really guided on intelligence, reasoning, rationality anymore but is sliding itself more into hope engineering and as u said it has been 34 years but we have data here for at least 2015 to 2025 on somspot, u could even trawl gooogle archives for longer periods and show the same posture of just recognition is coming and nothing has eventuated in the last 34 years yet they still continue doing it if that's not caadifaad out of control I don't know what else to call it. It's not even healthy dose of emotions this is extreme and irrational emotion bordering a tribal psychosis.
