It seems like the tiny desperate desert state on the North West of Somalia has stopped as low as it could get by lying outright to it's mostly illiterate and Khat induced citizens.

Most of the awoke SLders came to realize the SL recognition is unachievable after 30 years of knocking every door imagineble including unrecognized countries like Taiwan,now the SL adminstration restored outright lies and social media manipulation to their disappointed popluce.

Long story, last week the genocidial guerrilla bandit turned president Muse Bihi was reported recieving credintials from a newly nominted UAE Ambassador to the SL and it turns out the man in question was just a UAE company director and not a diplomatic repensetives as reported by both Bihi him self and the government backed media.

The SL Adminstration has spent a fortune of the tax payers money on igu sawir stunts for few years now and during Bihi's term the stunts has quarddoubled and even descended to paying actors to impersonate foreign government officials in a hotel room and displaying the Iranian flag like a recognized nation(Guinne)

People should really educate themselves on politics before posting about politics.

Trade office usually work as de facto embassies, such as many counties have trade official office Taiwan and I see Somaliand is a following the Taiwan route.

Director is not high role, it's a middle manager position, I am assistant director and 35. It's the 'c-grade' officers who run institutional functions not 'directors' as directors only run a 'section' where-as the c-grade officer run a division or business function like 'ICT, FINANCE, HR, ETC' and above them is 'secretary' who run a agencies like austrade-aus aid, and the minister(cannon fodder and replaced with party politics) he is in charge of the various agencies combined.

There is hierarchy similar to the military ranks in civil institutions plus each agency has to follow established agency policies and procedures, no-one is going to change it not even for parties or minister, their called institutional procedures. Australia institutional secretary-c grade officers call the shot while the minister is just cannon fodder as he can't change much and has to work within institutional guidelines, that's why we call them cannon fodder, we respsect our C GRADE OFFICERS AND SECRETARIES, THESE ARE THE REAL INSTITUTIONAL BOSSES and worked within the institution 30 years

You know the main reason why a trade office is significant is due to the new free trade zone in Berbera.My take is that this new representative will facilitate trade like the DP World's Jebel Ali free zone Jafza) in Dubai and aims to attract investments, encourage trade , create new jobs and position Berbera as a gateway port for the region.
