They missed the moment in the 2000s and subsequently 2012. Somali Federal government was so weak. Worse than a tissue paper.

Every year it gets worse for SL. They need a deal for sure. Everytime they lose a percentage in potential power sharing deal.

The problem is Somalia is the number 1 American client state… you can’t have the same major world power backing you as your ‘enemy state’.

Our economy is all based on American aid, our security is American funded (AMISOM).

What is sad about this is you are the last FMS Towsend met with it's leader, he met with Deni,Ahmed Madoobe, Laftagreen last year, this should tell you how irrelevant SL is to America.

Nah I meant as in you can’t play off rivals to get recognition if you have the same ally as Somalia. America has zero reason now to even think about supporting ictiraaf given Somalia and SL are effectively American client states. FGS signed off on the Berbera base and America has what it wants. Not as if SL can kick America out.
