The fact you equate the US commander visiting SL from Djbouti (CCP client state) to EU officials shows you don't even know why they came down to meet in the first place.Keep in mind the last time this level of the delegation was in SL from the US was more than 13 years ago and when the international community gave birth to FGS the US proceeded to cut dual track policy of SL and isolate them.

Fast forward to 2022 and times have changed thanks to Djbouti and our smart foreign policy with Taiwan.This will bare fruit inshaaAllah as interests are aligning.

It should be noted America gains nothing from recognising SL, they do benefit from using recognition as a carrot whenever discussing their problems in the area.

The arrangement with international donors with UN and other multilateral institutions happened back in 2012 during Silanyo tenure and has been happening since then.

However, the donor projects from World Bank and also UK/Somaliland development fund directed to SL are sent via Djibouti or handled by fund managers such as Mott Macdonald and not direct from Moqadishu (Farmaajo tried to cancel this arrangement).
