It’s a political confederation not an economic confederation freedom of movement, capital at Arusha, Swahili official language, free to practice any religion, 1 president, government, parliament, cabinet. A bunch of corrupt niggas sold Somalia for nothing while Ethiopia is joining BRICS while where joining a Bantu superstate.No.4 ain't that bad.
We could also use the EAC thing to expand our businesses from Rwanda all the way to the DRC
We're screwed then damnIt’s a political confederation not an economic confederation free open to travel, capital at Arusha, Swahili official language, free to practice any religion, 1 president, government, parliament, cabinet. Yes there is a difference, EAC is a economic confederation while EAF is a political and economic confederationI thought there was a difference between EAC & EAF (East African Federation). Can someone please clarify?
The Political Federation is the ultimate goal of the EAC Regional Integration, the fourth step after the Customs Union, Common Market and Monetary Union. It is provided for under Article 5(2) of the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community and founded on three pillars: common foreign and security policies, good governance and effective implementation of the prior stages of Regional Integration.
We call always leave just like how Britain left the EU.
Cant wait to see the already growing agitated bantu population in south Somalia to galvanise when they hear we try to leave and try their hardest to lobby us to stay or give away lands so we can leave.
We will leave this shit but let’s use it to our advantage nowCant wait to see the already growing agitated bantu population in south Somalia to galvanise when they hear we try to leave and try their hardest to lobby us to stay or give away lands so we can leave.
EAF as a concept died the second they added Congo and south Sudan
Sure… we will leave. Im sure when the corrupt leader sees a boost in revenue they will care about the integrity and sovereignty of their already shitty country. We will leave this shit but let’s use it to our advantage now
2/3rds of our National Assembly Aka Parliament.Wow so even if Somalia wanted to leave in the future it would need the support of a ‘two-thirds majority’ before its accepted, which will never happen since the Community is influenced by Kenya and the latter can push Tanzania, Uganda and the others to reject the withdrawal until the question of the maritime dispute has finally gone through their local courts.
Which ever way you cut this, it’s a huge strategic blunder. All of the benefits of cross border trade and access could have been negotiated with each individual East African country, there was absolutely no need for this. If Ethiopia with all its desires for ports, and good relations with Kenya didn’t join this future federation, why did HSM think it was good idea to join with all the bad blood still there?
2/3rds of our National Assembly Aka Parliament.
