Somalia should be a secular country

Also, how can secularism work in a country where there are no religious divisions.

Somalia cannot be a secular country unless we have a significant minority religious/irreligious population. Secularism is for nations that have religious diversity and as a country with well over 99% Muslim population, it does not make sense for Somalia.

What we should be is a democratic country with Islamic values but tolerant to ajnabis. Similar to UAE but without their support for Israel and islamophobic statements.

Somalia needs to be a religious conservative country, or else western degeneracy will creep in.

Religious conservative countries tend to be shitholes, I'd rather have western degeneracy (which probably wouldn't even happen) if we could live in peace.

religion should be a personal thing, we'll never modernise if we let religion influence the government, we'd just be following laws from over a thousand years ago, never improving.

You do realise that Somalia may very well be the location of Punt? The people were clearly a civilised people thousands of years before Islam's advent to the shores of the Red Sea; we're talking about a time period (1400 BC) in which Somalis were already civilised; this is around the time of Moses.

There is a difference between 1400BC and 700AD, a 2000 years difference.
The reason why we like ancient Egypt so much is that they were smart for people who lived 5000 years ago. They were civilized when the rest of the world was barbaric.

But Ancient Egyptians were pretty backward compared to the muslims or christians. They believed in weird things.
Islam was actually an upgrade, compared to whatever we had before that.

At the end of the day, democracy is decided by the people.

If the people of Somalia want a government influenced by religion they should receive it. This condescending argument cannot work if you are unwilling to live in Somalia and have a say.

If one truly wants Somalia to become a secular country, they should convince Somali atheists and christians to make kibbutz type settlements in Somalia so that they become enough of a minority in which secularism is required.

You cannot have democracy in a country that has Sharia, it's contradictory.
Only secular countries can have a democracy.

No-one is talking about Sharia.

There is a difference between implementing sharia completely and having a democracy which relies on some aspects or the spirit of the sharia. The first is what KSA claims to do and the second is what the likes of the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait do.

Lol, people don't vote in UAE Qatar and Koweit, no democracy there.
But most people advocating for a non secular country are advocating for sharia.

I prefer our current situation instead of our women becoming onlyfans tho!s, but Iโ€™m guessing youโ€™re a gaal.

And why not its peaceful if youโ€™re a man that can build businesses you will be fine, but if youโ€™re used to the wealfare system in the west, then its best that you stay in the west.
Wallahi u r so clueless nobody is going to give up their western life to live in some random place in somalia.

You prefer people living in fear, being blown up, frequent clashes, no security and other basic needs etc over someone posting themselves naked (which again I don't know why you keep mentioning hypothetical scenarios that would probably not even happen), you and other muslims have misplaced priorities and it's this kind of thinking why we'll never improve.

What's even worse is that you live in the West, enjoy the freedoms and comfort of a secular country, and don't want that for your own people, that is pure xaasidnimo.
