at least 3500 african soldiers died in somalia
Most of those deaths were from 2007-2011 back when AMISOM actually bothered to fight Al-Shabab and when Shabab was actually strong. Now? Al-Shabab is so weak they literally got defeated by Somali regional forces in Ethiopia back in 2022 lmao.
Egypt is not that gaajo to spill blood
Of course they won't, only the SNA can defeat Al-Shabab. What Egypt will do instead is serve as a deterrant to Shabab and give Somalia the necessary weapons in the mean time.
egypt probably praying weapons they delivered falls into al shabab hands
Don't be so callous. Egypt isn't going to risk being seen as complacent to fueling terrorism and more importantly, a strong Somalia is simply in their best interests. A united Somalia will be a far bigger pain in the ass to Ethiopia than Al-Shabab ever will hence the support.
they have way closer ally in sudan if they want to put troops somewhere
Sudan is in way too much chaos for that to be viable. There is a reason they chose Somalia, its relatively more stable and has an active peacekeeping mission that Egypt can use as justification.
this shows u there is no somalia.
And yet Somalia defeated Kenya in the ICJ court case, redirected planes from Ethiopian airlines from flying over Somalia's airspace, and is now currently preventing Ethiopia from joining AUSSOM. Just because there are rogue elements in the country doesn't mean Somalia is powerless.
said they wont allow Somalia to be threat ever again
That has been their MO since the Ogaden War actually. The thrashing they recieved from Somalia scared them and so they have been funding rebels and traitors in Somalia since the 80s.
