'Somali women have no qabiil' fantasy

Technically women have qabil, but back in the day they would take the qabil of their husbands, as they would move in with his family.

Yep that’s the one. However, karma hit us and 100 years later after 2000 boys were killed liberating Kismaayo, Madoobe comes and gives it to his reer abti.
Single greatest move in Jubbaland politics history we put the issue to bed in a way that serves both Harti and MZ.

It can only be topped if Sayidka transitions it over next to an Cawlyahan and making Jubbaland a race between Ogaden subclans.
@Abaq

That's why Somalis should stick to their own, until Somalia becomes a normal place.
I warn you to not vote for a man whose wife is shisheeye, especially from a clan that is an enemy of yours. Gurigaas waa lagu jira, her or her family got all the shaah and her sons will be close to their abtiyaal.

:manny:
Its seen as by most men as a form of conquest, that is incredibly stupid.

In all honesty however most people are not political and the last thing they will find problems in from a man or a woman is their qabiil.

Looking at the other side of the coin is kinda interesting too.

My subclan turned a female MP candidate away last year. I was surprised because she was super educated and well connected, but she was denied due to her husband being not being from the subclan.

Very smart decision. The new Minister of Agriculture Makhzoumi was elected as cadcad but it’s apparent she represents her HG husband in truth.

I wise oday once told me, "three kinds of Somalis don't have qabils:"

Women

Sheikhs/Imams

Singers/Entertainers/Celebrities

And he's absolutely spot on.
I would also add Oday dhaqameed, Nabad Doon, politicians, Business peoples and the wealthy to that list.

All of these groups of people share the exact same traits, self preservation and self interest above all else, including the clan.

coming back to the women, this Somali proverb sums it up.

“Walaasha iskuma hubtide seedigaa ha collaysan”
