Graves are here at Qundhura (Hobat) Gursum

Harar and its vicinity is Hawiye land. Harar literally has districts and old medieval towns named after Hawiye himself going back over a millennia and half. We predate Harar in the region so to speak. Harar is surrounded by East Hararge. East Hararge has about 17 districts and we live in 9 of those districts with either majority or a large plurality. Districts include Babile, Mayu Muluqe, Haramaya, Gorugutu, Qarsa, Chinaksan (Jinacsanay), Kombolcha and Kurfa Chale. We also live in West Hararge districts of Mieso and Hawi Gudina. The areas of Hawiya Erer, Ali Keno and Awsharif are names of old Karanle figures buried near Harar and part of Harar special admin zone which is chartered like Dire Dawa.

Prince Lig iyasu period. Every single major battle fought for Harar was led by Hawiye which makes sense because we make up the majority in East Hararghe.

Still waiting for the burial sites.
The Egyptians said Harar was separated in three groups Hararis, ciises , oromos. Hawiye were never mentioned. Oromos and ciises controlled the trade but not Haiwyes. As for fighting ciises were the first line of defense for Harar we lost the most fighters during chelenqo.

Nah you chatting shit. Hawiye are the Hararis. All the towns and villages outside Harar are Hawiye. Ciise are pastoralists from the desert further north towards the coast.,

What? Hararis are not Somalis :pachah1: if the town outside of harar were Hawiye how come oromos controlled the trade there ?
Harari are the people from the town called Harar. Mogadishawi are the people from Mogadishu. The source I send you proofs just that. The oldest market of Harar is named Gidir Magala (you can google it) named after Gidir Hawiye.

Harari foundational tribes like Abogn and Adash are Sexawle reer Garaad sub tribes like Abun and Cadash.

Berbera guys controlled the trade because of the port. It doesn’t mean much. Hawiye controlled the trade from Harar to Banaadir following the shabelle route via imey.

Only people native to the east of Harar are buried at Erer. The direction of where one’s tomb is located indicates where you are from. See example below ⬇️

Amir Nur is buried at Erer along with many other famous Hawiye individuals. Erer gate leads to Hawiye Guda and then straight into Baabili. The white circle in the centre is Harar kelel. Hawiye Guda and Erer Hawiye are inside the white circle. Having said this, Hawiye are present in all the districts surrounding Harar like Fadis, Haramaya etc

The amount of Hawiye figures buried at the eastern gate is proof enough.

Many references of the qubbi (tombs of saints) of Eastern Harar, the Erer Gate, can be found in Emile Foucher's 1988 book venerating the Muslim Saints of Harar. Erer Gate hosts the burial site of Sheikh Muhammad Khalif, Amir nur, Umar Ziyad, Sheikh Ahmed Izzin a descendant of Sh Nur Husayn Baliyalle, Emir Abdaal etc

The Mosque which Sheikh Sayed Khalifa Karanle led prayers and was martyred at was built in the time of Amir Nur Mujahid
Harar as the “fourth capital” of Islam, has operated as a holy place for saints since its inception under the magnificent Sheikh Abadir whose sons rode on lions according to some legends and others such as Emir Abdal, right through to the generation of Gragn and Amir Nur Mujahid, till the holiness of Sheikh Ahmed Izzin a descendant of the Bale Hawiye families of Sheikh Nur Hussein Balialle before reaching the generations of Sayid Sheikh Mohamed Khalifa the former Vizier of Harar later under Egpytian Rule and his fellow Karanle successor Sayid Mohamed Nur Al Salahiya. Sayid Sheikh Khalif was martyred in the conquest of Harar with his own sword that had his cut in half by Menelik’s forces and his church converted to the famous Madhan Alam Church in Harar City on the road between Erer Gate and the market’s “Faras Magaala” (former horse market).

The campaign of Sayid Sheikh Mohamed Khalifa, influential leader of the North-Western Hawiye who served first as the leader of the Hawiye at Harar and Zeila (the Ahmed/Mohamed Khatib who met Richard Burton in Zeila) before working in close ties with Emperor Lij Iyasu shortly before his assasination
