Somali skin care

So what skin care products do yall use?
Alxamdullilah ive never had a problem with acne and never really break out. i have mariin skin tone and so hyperpigmentation is a struggle tbh. So what do yall do to deal with hyperpigmentation.
Preferably i would like to know if you guys use a lot of qasil/cusbur and huruud or any other somali skin routines. How to get rid of hyperpigmentation? I like to be outdoors alot (before corona at least smh) and i am started to notice the discoloration im getting. So im curious to know how you all take care of your skin. Overall i have good skin but im developing sun spots and even have ‘freckles’ i guess? Its not cute freckles are dumb. Idk why people do faux freckles....
Ps: no dianna. no clean&clear shit.

Do you have a sensitive skin?

Apply sunscreen daily, the sunscreen will prevent hyperpigmentation worsening while the skin heal the dark marks from acnes. But it takes time to heal and you’ll see the result after 6 months.

If u want fast approach 3 months to 6 months approx, there’s alpha hydroxyl acid, vitamin c, niacinamide that helps fade hyperpigmentation but it may cause sun damage (sun spots or freckles) and sensitivity, again apply sunscreen daily to protect from the sun, doesn’t matter if there’s cloud or raining, you have to apply sunscreen everyday. Also, if your skin becomes sensitive, you need to take a break and focus on moisturising and maintaining skin ph.

If you want even skin tone, you need to have a habit to apply sunscreen daily.

Sis, sunscreen will save u.
The following sunscreens are non comedogenic and best for sun protection in my opinion

Superimportant step in a skincare routine. Try this one: Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence. It's watery and feels like thin gel on your face, not clogging at all.

If you're a newbie to skincare I would check out the Ordinary. Their stuff is cheap and a good way to kind of get a feel for what works/doesn't work for you without breaking the bank.

a good pH balanced cleanser

acids (like AHAs and BHAs to help with acne and hyperpigmentation) and hydrating products (toners, essences, etc.)

last of all, moisturizer and sunscreen

for most of these, i recommend products from cerave and the ordinary

check out my thread in women’s den for the specific details and more info

I like using the ordinary products. Like their toners and exfoliators. But it depends on what your skin can handle tbh
