I don't know much about Shiism, but i was under the impression that Shiism values Persian blood.

Wasn't it initially all about maintaining the prophetic blood line? Very weird that it took off in Iranians and not Arabs. You'd expect the reverse based on that fact alone, but of course there are many other aspects and historical events that explain why it is prominent in Iran.

"Wadaad" is a northern Somali phrase used that translates to, "a person who has knowledge of Allah" or "a person who has knowledge of the deen". The word does have pagan roots put has nothing to do with Cushites, it was used by ancient northern Yemeni's to describe a person who had knowledge of Wadd, a ancient god worshiped at the time. Northern Somali Dir's after beinf established by those Yemeni clans continued to use the phrase when we converted to Christianity then Islamifed it when we converted to Islam.

A "Wadaad priest" in that article is ironically referring to South Semites instead of Cushites.

A long time ago, i read somewhere that one of the founders of Shiism was half Persian, although this may not be true.

The main reason why Shia Islam took off in Iran is because the Iranian state wanted to differentiate the country from the Ottoman Empire and be independent religiously from the dominant Sunni power at the time(Ottomans).
