I was not a fan of these, so dry it made me cough. I couldn’t be rude so I had to pretend to like em. Haha good memories.

@Gibiin-Udug, I would always find those candies in the ziplock bags at weddings including a piece of xalwad and a gum. I believe a cookie too.

They’re actually good if you make it them homemade, which my mom would do sometimes. But I’m a fan of dates anyway. I would stick a ton of those sticky, tin canned dates from the halal store into these:

I preferred that with a cup of tea over samosas.

My dad used to bring home those cookies all the timeyou would only eat those when run out of all other snacks in the house.

I’m guessing everyone also had these in their house

Damn, Every Somali lady in the UK had it. My local Somali shop had a large bowl and would give it out for free.
