You do realise that same provider mindset is what women and kids complain about.
If a man truly did that mindset he would have almost no time to spend with his wife or kids, he would be travelling to work, working on his buisness or working multiple jobs, he would be working all the time and doing whatever it takes in order to make sure he provides for his family or secures a job of a higher position in the future which is family will benefit off of
This leads to the women complaining about how hard life is and how her husband is neglecting her and the kids and not helping out with anything and also how the relationship is going downhill and how she never sees him, kids then watch videos online saying men should be involved in their childrens lives andhelp(which they should) and then think their dead is a deadbeat when in actuality he is working his a** off to help his family.
My point is, if you want a man to fulfill his islamic responsibilty, you best know he won't be spending much time with you.
Or you can take the other option, both of you work, and spend the evenings and weekends together and share family time with the kids, which most women would prefer.
