There’s research that’s trying to make vape products, like marijuana, water soluble, so that way your lungs can clear it. I would wait until then.

Not medicine, I'm more basic science with a background that's heavy on physiology and biochem, but my work/education currently is more ID-focused. I can make an educated guess as to what you do based on your ICU work and pulmonary surfactant knowledge - AC, VC, PC are probably your domain lol

That’s pretty cool. It was basic physiology. I float to all the ICUs for now. No specialty. I’m not at that level. I like critical care populations, and seeing the different cases helps. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Cardio or Burn. It’s nice to see someone in the physical sciences on here. NEJM and JAMA made jump the gun into medicine. Welcome btw. You’re a nice addition, even if we’ve disagreed once or twice.

It's good that you do a bit of everything - you'll be comfortable in every critical care setting. Both Burn and Cardio patients have lots of interesting changes in their fluid dynamics which I'm sure makes them both more challenging and rewarding to manage

And thank you for the welcome! I purposely try to disagree with people that I find interesting as a means of dealing with my crippling lack of situational awareness
