This was a politicised thread from the beginning due to the nature of what was being said about Somalis in the video. Yibir was not the only thing discussed in the video. Politics also intersects with culture, security surveillance , history, religion and so forth. In media and politics, the person spreading the info is just as important as what is being said. Zionists have started weaponising the Yibir issue to infiltrate Somali society. It was never about hijacking, I was merely showing you how deeply involved, the people whose video you posted, are involved in infiltrating Somali society with Zionist project. The video you posted made propaganda about Somalis and politically demonised us somehow being anti semitic-Arab backers. I think it was important to show how the people involved in this make frequent trips to Somalia and work closely with anti Somali agents trying to alter the social, religious historical understanding of Somalis.
You also lowkey agreed with the sentiment expressed by stating

I find it strange that you seem more interested in lecturing Somalis about being proud of a dubious heritage rather than defending them against propaganda from Zionists. You seem to have some inferiority complex.
I also think it is naive to assume this video and timing of it has no relation to the Palestine issue and the Abraham accords, which is designed to normalise relations between Muslim communities and the Israeli state. The dude who the professor allegedly contacted goes by the name of Avraham Shamsi”. He claims to have grandparents from Yemen and that his mother was a crypto Jew”, so they could not even find an ethnic Somali to create this whole concocted story of Jewish Somalis. If the story is true, they’re basically some Yemeni migrants, a mother and a son, literally two people.
Now they have attached Yibir to the story to make it seem believable, ie folks of Jewish origin being discriminated against in Somalia.
all jews that lived in somalia and djibouti before they left were yemeni jews who migrated here for trade so his claim of having grandparents from Yemen makes this story more believable, had they said that the crypto jew in somalia was a ethnic somali you could 100% say that the story is fake but as there were yemeni jews iving in Somalia up until the 60s I think its not impossible that one descendant of them still lives there and didn't leave even if unlikely
