I don’t think they intentionally turn them into Somalis, it’s just that some Somalis tend to be huge extroverts and many of them don’t change their way of life upon marriage. A Xalimo isn’t going to stop inviting all the Somali family members in her area to her house and isn’t going to stop cooking Somali food or stop speaking Somali. Same with a Farax who is a bit cultural that spends time in the house. His Somali behavior will also rub of on his partner.

Eritrea under Isayas Afewerki has really developed and is the most independent nation in Africa. They accomplished all of that while Western powers placed her under tight economic embargo and a political isolation.

You were not born in the West either but live in it, so you should stop having this mean-spirited attitude. There is nothing wrong with being Africa's DPRK. All Eritrean citizens have access to free education, free healthcare, and achieved food self sufficiency. Any nation who does that has already covered the basics.

Most importantly, Eritrea is not looted by the West,. They used their resources for the benefit of their own people.
