@Gadhwayne for all his madness promotes a more traditional somali outlook which is “sure you got me there but look at my response” I think that type of mindset among other things promoted the somali stubborn superiority attitude.
The problem is that Somalia wants SL to just forget everything and be under them even though it harbors the perpetrators, which is quite ironic.
Also, SL didn't start disliking the union in 1988 (SNM before 1991 was unionists), it started in 1961 when SL tried to make a coup due to vote rigging (a village called Wanlaweyn in Shabeelaha Hoose had as many votes as Hargeysa, the second largest city, which is why that nickname exists).
This issue is deeper than that.
