Somalis have a serious inferiority complex which is demomstrated in many different ways.
In the Middle East: Somalis have a serious inferiority complex towards Arabs. This is probably the most severe of them all, and has resulted in Somalis claiming fake arab lineage and trying to align themselves to Arabs.
In Europe: Somalis also demonstrate an inferiority complex towards White people, which is demonstrated in the fact that Somalis are the most likely out of any muslim group to marry a white person. Although it may seem like Somalis have a distain for whites/gaals, as soon as said white person converts to Islam they are immediately admired by Somalis and can easily find a Somali wife. Some Somalis even call themselves Caucasians based on BS racist science findings from the 1800s.
In the West: Somalis also demonstrate an inferiority complex to other black people, believe it or not. This is demonstrated by both gangster Somalis and BLM Somalis. Gangster Somalis try hard to assimilate to AA culture by dressing like them, using their slang words and trying to get into rap music. They also form gangs and emulate them in street crimes. This is mostly seen in Toronto but can be seen everywhere. On the other hand, BLM somalis try to similarly copy blacks by claiming to have the same culture as them, overcompensating for their blackness and being at the forefront of the BLM movement, placing it before Somali issues.
I wonder why Somalis have such an inferiority complex. We were known to be a proud people, but what happened?

There's a difference btwn brashness, braggadocio etc etc and genuine confidence. Arrogant people are the most insecure.



Also: whites,other blacks, and Arabs also have the same problems of inferiority complexes. People are individuals and we shouldn't try to analyze them based on ethnicity.

I don't care about other groups, this is about Somalis.
This whole website is based on grouping people together via ethnicity.
Ofc not every Somali is like this, but this definitely does relate to a large amount of us. It's a serious problem.

It's a minority of people. Somalis born without culture without knowledge of their language or customs. Not proud of their country or it's people.

It's frankly laughable. You know what's funny. In the khaleej even amongst the somalis who love arabs, somalis are still proud of their race. I think it's because arabs love to show off their race and somalis in the gulf in turn are born with that.

You will never see somalis in the gulf coming with bullshit like 'as long as he is muslim' like the fools in the UK. Seriously

It all depends on the environment you grow in. As for the BLM idiots, well as one guy said if these somalis were given the chance to go to jannah or have a history rewritten for them so they could be slaves like the negroes, they would choose the later just so they can RELATE!

I don't think 'gangster' Somalis suffer from an inferiority complex. It's integrating into a bad subculture at best, and a life style choice at worst. Not the same thing at all.

I don't see the Somali inferiority complex towards Whites as problematic as others. Virtually every group of people suffer from this, and I would definitely argue Somalis far less than certain groups. Then again, it could also be because we're twerking on too many groups at once.

I honestly have never seen this in the real world and I am and have always been around many Somalis. Somalis in my experience love being Somali and gravitate only towards others Somalis in friendship and relationships. I think this may be exaggerated on the internet because many hermits and isolated insecure people find confidence behind anonymity and unleash themselves. I tell myself some of these people may not even be Somali to make myself feel better (on this site).

I see it more as an identity crisis to be honest .

But you have to recognise that this a whole new issue plaguing the somali's now a days back when we had a functioning country we were proud somali's there may have been a little bit of arab booty clapping but nothing major.

Most somali's now a days are embarrassed to be called one especially kids , most aren't aware of their lineage and are therefore not proud to be called a somali , if only they knew.

Best thing we need to do is educate the somalis especially the teens about somali heritage and history that will install some pride in them. Enough so that they can hold their head up high and not feel ashamed to be called a somali.
