I wasn't having it I didn't come to socialise with some men everyone was clocking me nigga felt like Neil Armstrong landing on the moon.
:chrisfreshhah:
I just avoid Somali gatherings. Weddings are the worst tho. When xaalimos and abdis are tryna dance and those judgemental ayeeyos be giving them the evil eye.

Most parties backhome/weddings are like that as well. It is a cultural thing, they are not used
to group orgies.

:mjlol:

Waliba the generation growing up now have it even easier, then I did, the women growing up now are the dumbest I have ever seen, with the likes of @dhegdheer @VixR that are gaalo, you no longer have to worry about the greatest obstacle which is last minute religious 'sexual hangups', as they believe they are animals anyways.
And the first shot of the night has been fired.:gunsmiley::damn:

What did those two do to you :lolbron:

I think they're the type to pop molly & wash it down with ciroc:mjlol:

There is a difference, degdheere is more like the quick behind the bathroom stall type, you want to get out there quick afterwards, were as @VixR is the more intellectual challenging types I used to prefer, minus the hangups of course since she is Gaal, and also far less resistance, win/win

I genuinely have no problems talking to a group of Somali girls (or any ethnicity for that matter).

Some niggas legit think up crazy pick up lines when a simple greeting will suffice. Just look presentable, introduce yourself crack some jokes and voila.

That's that cadaan in you sxb. A lot of younger Maryooleys, both farax and xalimos, become socially awkward around Somalis of the opposite sex. It's funny because when it comes to ajnabis they suddenly come out of their shell and start to become outgoing.

The parents encouraged and to an extent caused this through this emphasis on "xishod", which is funny because in their generation you would see both the men and women talking and having long and friendly conversations even when both are married with kids. It also doesn't help a lot of xalimos are generally on their guard and feel empowered handing out the "L" to any guy and every guy who may not even be checking for them like that.

I barely socialise with faraaxs lol I have tons of female Somalis I hang around but no males

Is because they're all thirsty :ivers:

This delusion.... there's no way an ex Muslim women would touch a Muslim guy with a ten foot pole :icon lol:

On the subway ride home I saw a Somali dude just staring at a Somali girl from across the train.

Like I would look back at him every now and then to see if he quit but no lie his eyes were locked. I noticed her entire demeanor go rigid and she straight up wouldn't look away from the vegan poster in front of her. :kanyehmm:

Its because of the gender segregation
. Makes the opposite sex into some sort of mysterious entity

What social events? The rare wedding? What gender segregation? Somalis are not that segregatory, maybe back in Somalia they are. You're on your own with this one.

What I've noticed is the sexes gravitating towards other ppl cuz it's awks and undesirable dating ppl you grew with, unless someone new moves in, and social media being a dating tool for ppl to visit and mingle outside their community and getting out of dodge.

But then we dont do shisha dating so idk what you've all seen:siilaanyolaugh:

restaurants are segregated, weddings are segregated, pretty much every social gathering is segregated

if anything, in Somalia it's less segregated

Depends on how large the community is. 20k plus? You have no problems finding people from other neighborhoods and parts of town. Anything less tja than 10k and yeah the familiarity will be weird.

I see new Somalis property pretty much every day. Heck I find new distinct Somali communities in this city I didn't even knew existed.

Also events are usually uni events and youth events. Sports events too. There aren't a lot of good ones tbh but you can mingle if you really want to.

I think the diaspora has been gripped by conservatism, almost as if to atone for fucking up Somalia. no seriously, I've heard it from many ppl that they think God is punishing us for being so liberal in the kacaan era :russ:

What is a Somali social event? You mean weddings? That's not really a social event, it's someone getting married. Somalis don't do social events.

You go to a occasional wedding.

You go to a religious traveling lecture.

Everything else you attend is a non-Somali majority event based on the circles u run in.

What's this about the guys on one end in droves and girl on the other kkkkk

Where?

That sounds hilarious.

Pass

My God woman where do you live?

A Somali event is kind of a codeword for a Somali party held on school grounds. Generally we share events with other East Africans.

Also Somali peoples from various neighborhoods have specific days they celebrate on. Dixon day for example.

But the youth tend to organize themselves in uni and grad school.

Wallahi you live where Beavis and Butthead takes place

You're talking about those multicultural university nights?

Again, that's mixed with other ppls and no ones gracing the walls with a layer of human paint with a visible gender separation :browtf:

It's not a Somali thing? This is your typical awkward guy on public trans, of which creepy starers are the tame variety. I'd take that over the ones that talk.
