Any hair type can grow long hair. All hair can experience breakage and dryness. It is not about texture but proper moisture and hair retention. And it's merely hair practices that vary depending on hair type. It does not mean you cannot use certain hair oils.

The racism is that only type 3 and less can grow long hair while type 4s cannot. The hijabi was being racist and implying genetic differences are why the Somali girl's hair oil won't work.
