A Somali Airlines A310-200 at Rome Fiumincio Airport.

This plane was bought from Conair of Scandinavia which bought it from Sabena, It was around 5 years old when this picture was taken which is pretty good for an airframe and especially for an African Airline, After the Civil War it was repossessed by Sabena who flew it until 1997 when they sold it to FedEx, Fedex put the plane in storage in 2009.
Here is a picture of the plane in 2004.

Somali Airlines mostly made use of the A310 while Ethiopian Airlines bought plenty of 767's which was the rival of the A310.

A rare sight of a Somali Airlines 727-200ADV operating the evening route to Athens,Greece. This particular airframe was built in 1981 as one of the later models of the tri-engined 727,It was operated by TAP Portugal then sold to Somali Airlines,After being given to Carnival Air,It went through a host of other owners before ending up being used as a transport carrier for the government of Burkina Faso.

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

A picture of a Somali Airlines Fokker 50 which was brand new taken at Titusville,Florida before delivery. This same plane crashed after takeoff while on a flight to Hargeisa after entering an area "heavy rainfall", All 44 passengers and 6 crew were killed.

"The crash investigation determined that the aircraft had entered a spiral dive after encountering strong vertical gusts. Loads during the dive increased to approximately 5.76 g, exceeding the design stress limits of the Fokker F27 type and causing its right wing to separate.[4] The flight crew were believed to have erred in taking off during known thunderstorm conditions."

In 1985, the number of employees was 714 and the fleet had reduced to include two Boeing 707-320Cs and two F.27-600s, with routes operated from Berbera and Mogadishu to Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Frankfurt, Jeddah, Nairobi and Rome. On February 1987, a new route to Banjul and Conakry was launched, and a firm order for an Airbus A310-300 was placed late that year, with an option for another one; the aircraft was aimed at replacing the 707 fleet on routes to Europe and the Middle East.

Dude! This crash happened when one of my siblings was born. My family talks about, how mother and child just returned from the hospital when this crash took place.

There were some heavy issaq people up in that plane. Very prominent families were on that plane.

It crashed right after a take off at Balcad town.
