I have never seen snow before.
I am a true Somali geeljire.:fittytousand:

Plus I hate the cold so I don't think I'll enjoy a place that snows a lot.

As promised, last night from a bridge and from street level shots

Don't worry it'll be alright. It reminds me of when I slipped on ice and heard my fingers crack n pop. Went to the hospital thinking it was going to be broken but it turned out to just be a fracture that has fucked my hand for quite some time now.

Point is it'll be alright.

A fracture means it’s broken.

The blue roof amid the city buildings is the Viking's stadium, the newest stadium in America and the best built.

That tall grey building peaking out in the background is the school of nursing and medical building of the U of M.

You get used to it and dress accordingly. No one told me how to dress when I landed there and I struggled through the first winter. Then someone mentioned thermals. I never go out without winter socks, winter boots, underwear thermals, t-shirt on top, then a jacket. I look puff fooling hungry women. Little they know my skinny ass is walking around with several layers of clothing.

Suckers I tell ya

I hear UK winters are like a summer. If you can't handle that summer like winter, you have no hope of surviving in Midwest states of America.

People lose limps from cold. There are warmings in some days on news for people to avoid frostbite. They give an estimate of how long you can be exposed to the blowing wind below zero. Sometimes it takes five minutes of your fingers exposed to the weather to lose parts of them as the skin dies and severe pain ensues which requires fingers to be cut. Some older residents have missing toes etc.

Despite the harsh weather, it is a good place to live. Winter depression too. And most people have April, march and January and December birthdates in the state.

Summer? It's not as cold as NA but it definitely gets cold and wet here (if you want to see NA replicated anything north of Birmingham is snow. Especially Scotland).

I only hate the winter in the UK because instead of snow we just have continuous frost and slippery pavements. It's too wet for any snow to ever settle.

For us that would be a day in the park. Wouldn't even be a dot on the radar.

Nahh I just can't dress well for it lol. I'd even suffer the same (or worse since it's apparently way colder over there) if I was in Minnesota. Uk winters are really cold but not as much snow
