I honestly don't know, there is just something about the complexity and the double meanings of the lyrics. Not to mention, the unique passion these old artists have for their artwork is really inspiring and just so different from current Somali music. The only current Somali singer I like is Nasteexo Indho, girls passion is next level and I really like the way

Naturally, I like poetry too since I like these songs. My interest in old music seems to transcend Somali music too. I just found out about Oromo music and this old Oromo song is my favorite out of 10 I have listened to.
