I remember when I was in Somalia people were going to sheikhs for what were clearly illnesses. My teenage brain was dumbfounded, why were these grown up people going to some dude who'll read Arabic you don't understand on you, spit on you and then beat you like it'll do something to a shaytaan in you? If you can't beat a shaydaan in the open how the f*ck do you beat it out of someone anyway?

Whether they were mentally ill or having a seizure somehow the answer would always be this man charging you a fortune for what must've been the most useless treatment I've ever seen. This was pray for the rain levels of stupid.



But you know it kind of got me thinking remember 'em sheikhs old man Barre murdered? he shouldn't have murdered them. He should've acted like those Chinese dictators and gone on a massacring spree then gone full secular. Yeah yeah I know I'm a gaal with no morals and I should be killed for my blasphemous views but think about it for a second, we wouldn't be in this mess.

All he had to do was dick suck America harder, get more arms and then knock out religious leaders and anyone who seemed like an extremist then got out of power. I mean all of this would've been much better if it was done during our communist era but I'm being realistic here.

We wouldn't be dealing with any of this hadn't it been for his stupid half-assed attempt at taking power from religious figures.

He was a hypocrite who engaged in nepotism and bombed innocent people. I don't think their killings made a difference everything was already turning sour after the 77 war. You just want to blame Islam cause you don't like it as a whole . If anything geopolitics and foreign intervention played a much larger part the killings were like 0.5% of the reason he failed

exactly, power that came from something bad will lead to bad outcomes. If every tribal leader from every tribe in Somalia could have democratically elected a dictator who would lead Somalia until he dies. It would have made Somalia a perfect country. Someone who could be trusted, someone who wasnt known for corruption, someone with Islamic intellect. Where every tribe, small or big had their representative in the election. That's How Islam become an empire to be reckoned with, every tribe in the Arabian peninsula was involved in the election.

Democratic election is important in Islam, but having a dictator as the end result is equally important. Having one person lead us to the future, someone who doesn't need to please every tribe just Allah.
